Modeling a 3d Metallic Spoon

3ds max poly modeling techniques.

01.At first we take a sphere, set its segments=12 and uncheck smooth also set the hemisphere value=.05.

02.Apply mirror command to flip the hemisphere vertically then convert it to editable poly.

03.Select the polygon and delete.

04.Then select the border and apply cap command.

05.Inset the face then extrude downwards to create the cavity or concave shape.

06.Now you’ll get this shape bellow. Scale it down vertically.

07.Select vertex, use soft selection, move the vertex to form desired shape.

08.Apply extrude command use scale to create the spoon handle shape.

09.Continue the previous step to form the handle shape the also edit at vertex level.

10.Check the use NURMS Subdivision and quick render the perspective view port (shift+q)

11.Press ‘m’ to open material editor. Select metal Shader, adjust specular level  around 432 and Glossiness=70.

12.Expand maps rollout, apply a reflection map.

13.Now you’ll get a metal material, apply it to the spoon.

14.Apply Shift+q to render the scene.
