Creating Realistic Glass material

0014.jpgThere are many process for creating glass material. Some Glass may take longer time for render, but here we show you a glass material, which renders quickly.

01.At first we create simple environment, a wooden tabletop and walls.

02.Now we’ll create a simple glass object using lathe command.

03.open the material editor window, select an empty slot, set the following parameters: Specular  color-white (255,255,255), Specular  Level= 107, Glossiness=49.

04.Expand maps rollout, apply raytrace to the refraction slot.

05.Apply this material to the glass model, then quick render the scene. But we need to improve the glass material.

06.Change the Specular Level=133, Glossiness=32, Ambient and Diffuse color black.

07.Then quick render the scene, now we’ll get a better result then before.

08.Using Adobe photoshop we need to create a reflection map. Save this file as jpg format.

09.Apply this reflection map to glass materials reflection slot. Adjust the reflection value to 15, and quick render the scene.
